The spacious quadruple room was great for our family, and we loved the hearty breakfasts with fresh fruit and pancakes each morning! We enjoyed the cozy atmosphere while lounging in the main hall and had easy access to the kitchen for late-night snacks. The only downside was that the lack of outside windows made the place feel a bit closed in, but it didn't dampen our fun. 😊

Had a great time with friends! We enjoyed the homey vibe, and the staff felt like family. The food was delicious and filling. We also went horseback riding and checked out Ficus La Raiz for more fun activities. Totally worth considering for your group getaway!
One downside was that the free WiFi was spotty, which made it annoying at times when we wanted to share our adventures online.

Super cozy lodge with a family feel
This place felt like home! The staff is super friendly, and they even let us help with cooking in the kitchen—no kidding! The breakfast was huge and hit the spot. Only thing is, it was a bit hot since there aren't any ceiling fans.

Spacious rooms with unique wooden designs create a cozy vibe. The attentive staff made our stay enjoyable, and the breakfast was a highlight, featuring delicious pancakes and fresh fruit. However, the lack of air circulation in our room was uncomfortable, and the thin walls allowed for noise from other guests, disrupting sleep. Additionally, spotty WiFi made it challenging to stay connected.

spacious rooms, unique wooden design, proximity to downtown Santa Elena
The lack of outside windows made it feel quite claustrophobic at times!!! I also wished the trash could be collected daily since we had to put all toilet paper in the garbage can.

I found El Amanecer to be a hidden gem during my stay. The rustic interior made it feel cozy and welcoming. The wooden furnishings added character to the space. My room was spacious, providing plenty of room for relaxation. Breakfast surprised me every morning with the variety available. Homemade bread, gallo pinto, fresh fruit, and hearty pancakes made each morning delicious. I appreciated the effort that Irene put into her cooking. The hot water in the shower was always reliable, which was a nice touch after a long day of exploring. However, the atmosphere felt a bit closed in, lacking outside windows. I often wished for more fresh air circulation in my room. It got warm sometimes, especially during the day. The WiFi connection was also inconsistent, which made it challenging when I wanted to check my messages or share photos. Despite these minor inconveniences, I enjoyed my authentic Costa Rican experience here. The short walk to the town center was convenient for grabbing meals or snacks.
